Bloodwork

Bloodwork

Bloodwork screenings are a key factor in obtaining the highest level of health and well-being. The sensitive medical data and results that are collected as a result of your bloodwork are kept safe and in secure hands when performed at Polaris Health Care.

Bloodwork Screening Consists of Two Visits:

First Visit

During your initial visit, we take a detailed look at your medical history and provide a comprehensive examination. This examination helps identify any factors that might suggest the need for additional tests beyond routine labs.

Second Visit

At your follow-up appointment, we will review your blood test results. During this discussion, we guide lifestyle changes, discuss potential medications, and determine the timing for any repeat or additional labs if necessary.

Preventative Health

In addition to bloodwork, we offer preventative health screenings such as:

  • Pap smears
  • Colonoscopies (by referral)
  • Mammograms (by referral)

These screenings are vital for early detection and prevention of various health issues.

What is the difference between Bloodwork and Biometric Screening?

Bloodwork focuses on analyzing your blood components.

Biometric Screening evaluates your health using objective aspects of a physical exam, including heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen levels, height, and weight.

An annual visit or physical examination typically combines these elements with a detailed medical history and physical exam to assess your overall health and potential risk factors for other health issues.
